Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of statutory audit assignments for small to medium-sized enterprises.
  • Perform substantive audit testing and analytical procedures to verify the accuracy of financial records.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit working papers and documentation in accordance with auditing standards.
  • Liaise with clients to gather necessary financial data, documents, and explanations for audit inquiries.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and reports in compliance with MPERS and MFRS.
  • Identify and report internal control weaknesses and provide suggestions for operational improvements.
  • Support the senior audit team in administrative tasks and ensuring deadlines for all engagements are met.
  • Keep updated with the latest accounting and auditing standards to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MICPA) or currently pursuing one is a significant advantage.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and Malaysian auditing standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • High level of integrity, professional skepticism, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
