Responsibilities
- Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Perform substantive testing and control testing in accordance with established audit objectives.
- Prepare accurate and timely audit working papers and documentation.
- Assist in the review of financial statements to ensure compliance with MFRS/MPERS requirements.
- Communicate findings and observations to senior audit team members effectively.
- Identify potential financial risks and internal control weaknesses within client operations.
- Coordinate with clients to obtain necessary documents and information for audit completion.
- Stay updated with the latest accounting standards and tax regulations in Malaysia.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or professional qualification equivalent like ACCA, CPA, or ICAEW).
- Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Malaysian Accounting Standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Malay.
- High level of integrity, professional skepticism, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
