Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and oversee full-cycle audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Manage, mentor, and provide technical guidance to audit seniors and associates to ensure professional development.
- Review audit working papers, financial statements, and reports to ensure compliance with MFRS/MPERS and regulatory standards.
- Maintain strong, proactive relationships with clients to understand their business needs and provide value-added advice.
- Coordinate with audit partners to address complex accounting issues and manage engagement deadlines effectively.
- Identify and mitigate potential audit risks while implementing strategies to enhance internal control environments.
- Stay updated with the latest changes in financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and auditing pronouncements.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or MIA member).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in public accounting firms.
- Strong technical knowledge of MFRS, MPERS, and Companies Act 2016.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing audit teams and field operations.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Malay, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of integrity, professional skepticism, and commitment to quality.
