Responsibilities
- Lead and execute audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries.
- Perform audit fieldwork, including substantive testing and analytical procedures, in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare comprehensive audit work papers and financial statement drafts.
- Identify internal control deficiencies and provide value-added recommendations to clients.
- Coordinate closely with the audit manager to ensure timely completion of audit deliverables.
- Supervise and mentor junior audit assistants during engagement fieldwork.
- Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MICPA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an audit firm environment.
- Strong understanding of MFRS/MPERS and the Companies Act 2016.
- Proficiency in audit software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under tight deadlines.
