Responsibilities
- Perform thorough diagnostics on various vehicle makes and models to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Conduct complex repairs on engines, transmissions, suspensions, steering, and braking systems.
- Utilize specialized diagnostic equipment and tools accurately to troubleshoot problems.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle status, repair needs, and maintenance recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and industry standards.
- Keep accurate records of all services performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through continuous learning and training.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Auto Mechanic or Automotive Technician, preferably in an independent workshop or dealership setting.
- Vocational diploma or certificate in Automotive Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Solid understanding of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical, braking, and HVAC systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve vehicle malfunctions.
