Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Pastry Chef in the daily production of breads, pastries, and desserts.
- Ensure all workstations are kept clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Accurately measure and prepare ingredients according to standardized recipes.
- Monitor inventory levels and report stock shortages to the supervisor.
- Maintain high-quality standards for all baked goods and pastry items.
- Operate professional kitchen equipment such as industrial mixers, ovens, and proofers safely.
- Participate in team meetings to review production goals and performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, bakery, or pastry environment.
- Strong passion for baking and a keen eye for detail in food presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Disciplined work ethic with a strong willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and sanitation protocols.
- Professional certification in Culinary Arts or related field is a plus.
