Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily activities of the credit and collection team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and account reconciliations.
  • Establish and implement credit policies, credit limits, and collection procedures to minimize bad debt and optimize cash flow.
  • Monitor aging reports, identify delinquent accounts, and initiate collection actions including calls, letters, and escalations.
  • Coordinate with sales and customer service to resolve billing disputes and negotiate payment plans.
  • Prepare monthly reports on collection performance, DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), and credit risk analysis for management review.
  • Conduct periodic credit evaluations of new and existing customers using financial data and credit bureau reports.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to improve productivity and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in credit and collection, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and credit risk management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to handle difficult conversations with customers.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Background in the chemical, manufacturing, or distribution industry is a plus.
  • Must be willing to work onsite in Mandaluyong City.
