Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to inbound calls from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance members regarding inquiries, claims, and account issues.
- Provide accurate information on health plan benefits, coverage, and eligibility using internal databases and scripts.
- Document and update customer records in CRM systems with high attention to detail.
- Resolve complaints and escalate complex medical or billing issues to the appropriate department.
- Meet or exceed key performance metrics such as call quality, average handling time, and customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to HIPAA and other healthcare privacy regulations to protect sensitive patient information.
- Collaborate with team leads and trainers to continuously improve service delivery and product knowledge.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on healthcare policies and system changes.
Qualifications
- At least 6 months of experience in a BPO or customer service role, preferably in healthcare or insurance.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills – clear, empathetic, and professional.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer applications and CRM tools efficiently while on calls.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in any field is a plus.
- Willingness to work on-site in Taguig and flexible to shifting schedules, including nights and weekends.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology or health insurance processes is an advantage.
- Must be a Filipino citizen or have valid work authorization in the Philippines.
