Join our dynamic logistics team as a Dispatcher, where you will coordinate timely deliveries and ensure seamless communication between drivers, customers, and operations.
In this role, you'll leverage cutting-edge dispatch software to optimize routes, monitor fleet performance, and provide exceptional service that keeps our supply chain moving.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and assign drivers to deliveries based on priority and availability.
- Monitor real-time GPS tracking and adjust routes to avoid delays.
- Maintain accurate logs of shipments, driver hours, and incident reports.
- Communicate with customers to provide updates and resolve inquiries.
- Coordinate with warehouse and loading dock staff to ensure timely loading/unloading.
- Handle emergency situations and reroute as needed.
- Generate daily performance reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in dispatch, transportation, or fleet management.
- Proficient with dispatch software (e.g., Samsara, KeepTruckin, or similar).
- Strong multitasking and problem‑solving abilities under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
