As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our high-speed automated production lines. You will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electromechanical systems, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Our Tuas plant is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including advanced PLC systems (Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley ControlLogix), industrial robotics, and vision inspection systems. As our Technician, you will work directly with these technologies, performing root cause analysis, preventive maintenance, and system optimization. Your contributions will directly impact our production efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on automated assembly and packaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Execute precision mechanical repairs and adjustments to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve PLC-related faults (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and upgrade of new production machinery.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment logs.
  • Adhere strictly to workplace safety and health (WSH) regulations, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team on continuous improvement projects to enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Qualifications

  • Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma, or Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in electro-mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment (preferably FMCG or high-speed automation).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and process control.
  • Hands-on experience with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), servo motors, sensors, and relays.
  • Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting (ideally Siemens or Allen-Bradley).
  • Experience with predictive maintenance techniques (vibration analysis, thermography) is a plus.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts (including 12-hour shifts) to support 24/7 operations.
  • A team player with a proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
