Integrated Micro-Electronics, Inc. is seeking a skilled Equipment Technician (SMT) to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Biñan City, Laguna. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of our Surface Mount Technology (SMT), End-of-Line (EOL), and test equipment through proactive preventive maintenance programs.
You will collaborate closely with production teams to minimize downtime, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on SMT, EOL, and test equipment to ensure maximum uptime and production efficiency
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment malfunctions and mechanical/electrical failures promptly
- Monitor equipment performance metrics and conduct routine calibrations to maintain quality standards
- Collaborate with production supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize impact on production schedules
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in maintenance logs and CMMS systems
- Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and upgrade projects as required
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address recurring equipment issues
- Train production operators on basic equipment care and operational procedures
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or certificate in Electronics, Mechatronics, or related technical field
- Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience maintaining SMT equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and root cause analysis methodologies
- Familiarity with IPC standards and electronics manufacturing processes
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in team settings
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts and respond to emergency calls as needed
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation purposes
