Based in our headquarters in Petaling, Selangor, we are seeking a meticulous and highly motivated Executive - Finance (GL & Reporting) to drive reporting excellence and financial compliance.

About the Role

This is a high-visibility role where you will be responsible for the complete cycle of general ledger and reporting activities. You will compile and analyze complex divisional financial data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages. A key focus will be coordinating the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, performing variance analysis, and providing actionable insights to management.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of recurrent related party transaction reports in compliance with regulatory standards. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and tax agents to ensure all statutory and group reporting deadlines are met with the highest degree of accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Compile, review, and analyze divisional financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness for monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with MFRS, IFRS, and group accounting policies.
  • Lead the GL function, including reviewing journal entries, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and managing the fixed asset register.
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Prepare and monitor recurrent related party transaction schedules and ensure timely submission to the relevant authorities.
  • Support the annual external audit process and liaise with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the accounting workflow to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
  • Handle ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required by the Group Finance Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in GL and financial reporting, preferably within a manufacturing or trading environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of MFRS, IFRS, and Malaysian tax laws.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) is highly preferred.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power Query).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet strict deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong command of English, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
