Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes in accordance with MFRS and statutory requirements.
- Generate accurate internal and external financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the consolidation of financial data from multiple business units and ensure intercompany reconciliations.
- Support the annual audit process by preparing audit schedules, liaising with auditors, and addressing queries.
- Monitor and review financial transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Prepare variance analysis reports, highlighting key trends and providing recommendations to management.
- Coordinate with tax agents and regulatory bodies for timely submission of statutory returns and tax filings.
- Continuously improve reporting processes, leveraging automation tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA/CIMA/CPA certification is a plus).
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in a manufacturing or listed company environment.
- Strong knowledge of MFRS, IFRS, and Malaysian tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English (Mandarin is an advantage).
