Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the Waste Water Treatment Plant and associated facilities.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance/repairs of plant equipment and systems.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors for specialized services and projects.
- Plan and execute scheduled overhauls, shutdowns, and equipment upgrades.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, checklists, and operational reports.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards at all times.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Diploma or NITEC in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a waste water treatment plant or similar industrial environment.
- Knowledge of WWTP processes, equipment (pumps, motors, control systems), and maintenance practices.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a night shift setting.
- Good understanding of safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting.
- Valid relevant certifications (e.g., SCDF, Lifting, WAH) are a plus.
