Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial operations, including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct in-depth P&L analysis using SQL to identify cost-saving opportunities and business trends.
- Ensure full compliance with local tax regulations, including SST filings and annual audits.
- Collaborate with internal departments to streamline financial workflows and internal control processes.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support management decision-making.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities during statutory audit processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/MICPA).
- Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in financial reporting or corporate accounting.
- Fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken) is required to interact with regional stakeholders.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and financial reporting purposes.
- Strong working knowledge of SST, corporate tax, and Malaysian financial reporting standards (MFRS).
- Excellent analytical skills with a sharp eye for identifying discrepancies in financial data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with modern ERP software.
- Ability to work independently, manage tight deadlines, and maintain high standards of accuracy.
