In this position, you will work closely with the Finance Manager and Director of Finance to oversee daily accounting functions, ensure meticulous regulatory compliance, and provide the financial insights necessary to drive business success. Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, focusing on Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are accurately reflected in the General Ledger.
- Assist in the timely closing of month-end and year-end accounts in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
- Prepare and submit quarterly GST filings and ensure adherence to local tax regulations and corporate policies.
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
- Monitor and manage hotel cash flow, assisting with budget forecasting and variance analysis.
- Liaise with various departments to resolve billing discrepancies and streamline the procurement-to-pay process.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate depreciation scheduling.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; or a professional qualification such as ACCA/CPA.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting, ideally within the hospitality or service industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software, with prior experience in SunSystems, Opera, or BirchStreet preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and local tax requirements.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency with VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight month-end deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
