Responsibilities
- Manage full-set accounts, including month-end closing, financial reporting, and consolidation for multiple project entities.
- Oversee Work-in-Progress (WIP) accounting, ensuring accurate recognition of revenue and cost accruals for ongoing construction contracts.
- Prepare comprehensive management reports, budget forecasts, and cash flow projections to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with project managers to monitor project budgets, cost variances, and profitability analysis.
- Ensure compliance with statutory accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal audit requirements.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretarial firms for annual filings.
- Implement and improve financial processes to increase efficiency and data accuracy within the finance department.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years specifically within the Construction or Engineering industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in WIP accounting and financial consolidation is essential.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Xero) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively interface with non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
