Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes with strict adherence to reporting standards.
  • Oversee operational cost accounting, including variance analysis and inventory valuation in a manufacturing setup.
  • Develop and track KPIs to monitor plant performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for production operations.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal financial controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional department heads to optimize resource allocation and project spending.
  • Provide actionable financial reporting to the senior leadership team to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Professional certification like ACCA, CPA, or CIMA is highly preferred).
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance, specifically within a manufacturing or industrial sector.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and tax regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence non-finance stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in English and Malay.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
