Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities for the shipping division
- Oversee month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions for maritime operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic business initiatives
- Ensure adherence to financial controls, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Develop and mentor finance team members, promoting continuous improvement
- Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or ACCA qualification preferred
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive finance experience, with shipping or maritime industry exposure advantageous
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and accounting principles
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel modeling skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing teams and working in a multinational environment
- Detail-oriented with ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting
