Semir International Group (HK) Limited, a dynamic player in the regional market, is looking for a proactive Finance Officer to strengthen its finance team in Kuala Lumpur. In this standalone role, you will be at the heart of the organization’s financial operations, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and that financial statements meet the highest standards of compliance and transparency.
You will work closely with senior management to provide timely insights that support strategic decision‑making, while also liaising with external auditors, tax authorities and banking partners. The position offers the opportunity to own end‑to‑end monthly close processes, oversee budgeting and forecasting activities, and drive continuous improvement in financial controls.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with MFRS.
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts, monitoring variances and providing actionable insights.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audit cycles and support tax filing obligations.
- Maintain and enhance internal financial controls, policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis to support management projects and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and company financial policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar role, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or comparable.
- In‑depth knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present clear recommendations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across functions.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
