Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and complete general ledger entries, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and categorized in accordance with accounting standards
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies, and prepare journal entries as needed
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of supporting schedules, variance analyses, and financial reporting packages
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting principles and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather and verify financial data, supporting audit activities and providing documentation as required
  • Monitor and maintain account reconciliations and supporting documentation, ensuring proper filing and retrieval systems are in place
  • Identify process improvements and efficiency gains within the record-to-report cycle, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and established accounting procedures across all financial activities

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, or record-to-report functions
  • Proficient knowledge of accounting principles, standards (MFRS/MIFRS), and financial reporting requirements
  • Experience with accounting software systems and MS Office applications, particularly Excel for financial modeling and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all work outputs
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent will be an added advantage
