Randstad is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Specialist (Accounts Payable) to join a dynamic finance team in Kuala Lumpur. Responsibilities
- Process high-volume vendor invoices, expense reports, and credit notes in a timely and accurate manner
- Perform three-way matching (PO, GRN, invoice) and resolve discrepancies with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Prepare and execute weekly/bi-weekly payment runs via online banking systems
- Reconcile AP sub-ledger to general ledger and investigate variances
- Handle vendor inquiries regarding payment status, invoice disputes, and account reconciliations
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, and AP aging analysis
- Maintain vendor master data, ensure compliance with company policies and tax regulations (e.g., SST, withholding tax)
- Support internal and external audit requests by providing documentation and reconciliations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply)
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA (or currently pursuing) are advantageous
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, formulas) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data
- Good communication skills in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Mandarin is a plus
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a team-oriented environment
