As the Finance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our finance department, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and providing strategic insights to the management team. You will play a key role in maintaining our financial health as we scale our production facilities in Malaysia. Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with MFRS and group reporting standards.
- Coordinate and lead the annual external audit process and ensure timely submission of statutory filings.
- Manage local tax compliance, including SST reporting, corporate income tax, and withholding tax requirements.
- Monitor and analyze department budgets and company expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to junior accounting staff to ensure high levels of performance and professional development.
- Maintain effective internal controls and ensure adherence to corporate policies and local financial regulations.
- Support the Finance Manager in cash flow management and financial forecasting activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional field.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or a registered member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proven experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of MFRS, IFRS, and Malaysian tax laws.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage for liaising with headquarters.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
