We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team and play a pivotal role in our rapid regional growth.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will be a key member of the finance team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial operations. In this role, you will manage the full spectrum of accounting processes, ensure strict adherence to MFRS, local tax laws, and SST regulations, and provide critical analysis to support strategic decision-making. Responsibilities
- Manage the full spectrum of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed assets accounting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with MFRS and statutory requirements.
- Handle corporate tax computations, SST filings, and liaise with external auditors and tax agents.
- Coordinate and support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Analyze financial variances, costs, and operational data to provide strategic recommendations to management.
- Oversee cash flow management, banking facilities, and ensure proper internal controls are in place.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against targets.
- Support system implementations and process improvements for the finance department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA/MIA).
- Minimum 3-5 years of working experience as a Financial Accountant, preferably in a multinational manufacturing or energy sector company.
- Strong knowledge of MFRS, Malaysian tax laws, SST, and transfer pricing.
- Proficient in SAP or other major ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power Query).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin is required to effectively communicate with regional counterparts and headquarters.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
