We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee our accounting operations in Selangor. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial health, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, and providing actionable insights to senior management. Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
- Direct the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analysis to support business decisions.
- Ensure full compliance with local tax regulations, statutory requirements, and financial reporting standards.
- Maintain internal control systems and policies to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risk.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax authorities during periodic audits and assessments.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for management review.
- Optimize financial management systems to increase operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or MIA is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management.
- Strong knowledge of local accounting standards, tax laws (SST/Income Tax), and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or SQL Accounting) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and work effectively across departments.
- High level of integrity, professional ethics, and attention to detail.
