Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization, transfers, and disposals.
- Perform accurate and timely monthly depreciation runs and subledger reconciliations.
- Conduct physical asset verifications and coordinate with various departments to track asset movement.
- Analyze fixed asset accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial statement accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements regarding asset reporting.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and analysis on asset performance and capital expenditures.
- Collaborate with the tax and audit teams to provide necessary documentation for quarterly and annual audits.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring all data entries are precise and current.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA license is a plus).
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in fixed asset accounting or general ledger management.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) is highly preferred.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS or GAAP accounting standards regarding property, plant, and equipment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict monthly closing deadlines.
