Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Full Set Account Executive to join our client's growing team in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to manage the full cycle of accounting operations in a supportive environment. The role requires a candidate who is proficient in handling complex financial records and ensuring strict compliance with local regulations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete set of accounts, from day-to-day transaction recording to the preparation of comprehensive financial reports. You will work closely with the management team to provide accurate financial insights and ensure that all accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities are executed efficiently. Experience with e-Invoice systems is highly preferred for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the full set of accounts, including the preparation of Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Statement, and Balance Sheet.
  • Handle daily Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare and review financial reports for management review and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain the General Ledger (GL) and ensure proper coding of transactions according to company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian tax regulations, specifically regarding e-Invoice submissions and reporting.
  • Assist in the annual audit process by providing necessary schedules and documentation to external auditors.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of working experience in Full Set Accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian Accounting Standards (MAS) and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficient in accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, or MYOB.
  • Familiarity with e-Invoice systems (e.g., LHDN system) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
