Greystone Asia Resources Inc. is currently seeking a detail-oriented General Accounting and Tax Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic finance team in Metro Manila. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive general ledger entries, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and categorized
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns including BIR forms (1701, 2550Q, 2551Q) with strict adherence to deadlines
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Ensure strict compliance with Philippine tax regulations including income tax, VAT, and withholding tax requirements
- Generate financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for management review
- Assist in the preparation of annual audited financial statements and coordinate with external auditors
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, implementing necessary adjustments to maintain compliance
- Support budget preparation and variance analysis to assist management in financial decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA) or actively pursuing certification is a strong advantage
- Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience in general accounting and tax compliance within the Philippine context
- In-depth knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations, and GAAP/IFRS principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting
