Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented General Accounting Supervisor to join the finance team at Property Company Of Friends, Inc. In this hybrid role, you will take charge of managing the financial accounting functions for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across General Ledger, Receivables, Inventory, Revenue, and Asset Accounting. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the company, mentoring junior staff, and implementing best practices in financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the complete general ledger accounting cycle, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Manage Accounts Receivable and Payable functions to ensure timely collections and vendor payments.
- Supervise inventory management processes to ensure accurate stock valuation and reporting.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/PSAS).
- Administer fixed asset accounting, tracking depreciation and capital expenditures.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes for assigned entities.
- Mentor and guide the accounting team to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- CPA License is strongly preferred; Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven experience in real estate or property management accounting is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
