Responsibilities
- Create and style hairstyles that enhance the appearance and characterization of artistes
- Collaborate with directors, costume designers, and makeup artists to achieve desired looks
- Research and implement period-appropriate hairstyles for various productions
- Maintain and care for styling tools, equipment, and products
- Stay updated on current hair trends and techniques relevant to the entertainment industry
- Ensure all styling work adheres to safety and hygiene standards
- Work efficiently under pressure to meet tight production deadlines
- Provide guidance and support to junior hair styling staff when needed
Qualifications
- Diploma in Hairdressing, Cosmetology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional hair styling experience, preferably in media or entertainment
- Proficiency in various hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, and perming
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse hair styling work
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work creatively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of period hairstyles and current fashion trends
- Valid cosmetology or hairdressing license
