Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust financial strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the company's rapid growth in the digital asset and fintech space.
- Oversee all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities, providing accurate and timely insights to senior management.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), and taxation laws in Malaysia, with a particular focus on the unique aspects of digital assets.
- Manage treasury functions, cash flow, and working capital to optimize financial performance and mitigate liquidity risks.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Support fundraising efforts, investor relations, and strategic partnerships through comprehensive financial analysis and due diligence.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and analysis to support key business decisions, product launches, and market expansion initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Head of Finance, Finance Director, Financial Controller).
- Proven experience working within the fintech, digital asset, or blockchain industry is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles (IFRS), and taxation laws relevant to Malaysia and digital assets.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with emerging fintech tools is a plus.
