Ipsos, the worldâs only researchâled market intelligence group, is seeking a strategic and dynamic Head of Qualitative Research to drive our qualitative insights agenda across Indonesia. In this highâimpact role, you will lead a talented team of researchers, design innovative qualitative methodologies, and deliver actionable consumer insights that shape the strategies of leading brands.
Youâll partner closely with senior client stakeholders, translating complex market trends into clear, compelling narratives that influence business decisions. Your expertise in focus groups, inâdepth interviews, ethnography, and digital qual will help Ipsos maintain its position as the #1 fullâservice research partner for clients seeking deep consumer understanding.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of qualitative research projects, from scoping to final reporting, for diverse industry clients.
- Develop and implement innovative qualitative methodologies (focus groups, IDIs, ethnography, digital qual, etc.).
- Manage and mentor a team of qualitative researchers, fostering professional growth and high performance.
- Collaborate with quantitative teams to deliver integrated insight solutions and strategic recommendations.
- Build strong client relationships, presenting findings and advising on strategic implications.
- Drive continuous improvement of research processes, tools, and quality standards.
- Contribute to business development by crafting proposals and thoughtâleadership content.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in qualitative market research, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in qualitative research design, moderation, and analysis (e.g., NVivo, SPSS, MaxQDA).
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate insights into actionable client strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Demonstrated capability in leading crossâfunctional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Advanced degree in Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with digital qual platforms and emerging research technologies is a plus.
