Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive indoor air quality (IAQ) assessments and mold inspections in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Utilize specialized equipment to measure humidity, moisture content, and detect airborne contaminants.
- Collect air and surface samples for laboratory analysis and accurately interpret lab results.
- Document all findings with detailed technical reports, including photographic evidence and remediation recommendations.
- Collaborate with remediation teams to develop effective strategies for contamination removal and prevention.
- Ensure all inspections and protocols adhere to local environmental health and safety regulations.
- Provide expert technical advice to clients regarding IAQ improvements and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure high levels of accuracy in field data collection.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Public Health, Building Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in mold inspection, IAQ testing, or environmental consultancy.
- Strong understanding of microbiology, moisture dynamics, and building HVAC systems.
- Proficiency in using environmental diagnostic tools such as moisture meters and thermal cameras.
- Excellent written communication skills with a proven ability to produce clear, technical reports.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in various site conditions.
- Valid certification in mold inspection or IAQ (e.g., CIE, CMI) is highly preferred.
- Physical fitness to navigate construction sites, crawl spaces, and carry inspection equipment.
