Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and management accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Support core financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities, including contributing to budget formulation, forecasting exercises, and detailed variance analysis.
- Conduct thorough financial data analysis to identify key trends, pinpoint areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights to support strategic business decisions.
- Perform comprehensive monthly bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and other general ledger accounting tasks.
- Contribute actively to the continuous improvement and optimization of financial processes, systems, and controls.
- Aid in audit preparations, ensuring all financial documentation is meticulously organized, complete, and readily accessible.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial information and support business initiatives.
- Undertake ad-hoc financial projects, research, and analytical tasks as directed by the Finance Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting role; fresh graduates with strong academic records and relevant internships are highly encouraged to apply.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling).
- Solid understanding of fundamental financial reporting principles, basic accounting concepts, and financial statements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate financial information clearly.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative member of a team, managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia is required.
- Experience with an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero) is an advantage.
