You will play a critical role in proactive maintenance scheduling, troubleshooting, and repairs, contributing directly to our environmental service standards in the Sarawak region.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians in the preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and equipment troubleshooting to identify potential mechanical failures.
- Carry out minor repairs and adjustments on machinery as directed by maintenance supervisors.
- Ensure all maintenance work is performed in strict accordance with site safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and system status accurately in logs and work order systems.
- Maintain tools, workshops, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Support the team during emergency breakdown repairs and scheduled maintenance shutdowns.
- Assist in the installation or modification of mechanical components as per project requirements.
Qualifications
- Possess a minimum of a Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Fresh graduates with a strong interest in mechanical maintenance are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical tools, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematic drawings, and blueprints.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in an industrial, outdoor, or plant environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS).
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is preferred.
