Our client, a leading provider of building services, is seeking an experienced M&E / Air‑Con Technician Cum Driver to join their dynamic maintenance team based in Singapore River, Central Region.
In this role, you will be responsible for the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems, with a particular focus on air‑conditioning and HVAC equipment. You will operate company vehicles to travel between sites, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, while adhering to strict safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
Key duties include performing scheduled inspections, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and maintaining detailed service logs. You will also be expected to respond promptly to emergency breakdowns, coordinate with other tradespeople, and support the installation and commissioning of new systems when required.
The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, a valid Singapore driver’s license, and a proactive approach to problem solving. Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems and air‑conditioning units.
- Diagnose and repair faults in HVAC, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
- Drive company vehicles to transport equipment and personnel to various sites.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate service logs and reporting of work performed.
- Coordinate with project teams to support installation and commissioning activities.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide timely resolution.
- Conduct basic inventory checks and order required spare parts.
Qualifications
- Minimum NTC-2 or NITEC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in M&E or air‑conditioning maintenance.
- Valid Singapore Class 3 or 2 driver’s license.
- Knowledge of local safety standards (Singapore, MOM, BCA).
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces and at heights.
