Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all day-to-day accounting and financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and analyses in compliance with MFRS/IFRS.
- Develop, implement, and monitor financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with various departments to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and financial planning to optimize liquidity and investment opportunities.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies to ensure statutory compliance and smooth audit processes.
- Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior management for effective decision-making.
- Mentor, train, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) / International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Proven experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SQL Accounting) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
