Kuok Group, a leading multinational conglomerate with diverse interests in agribusiness, logistics, hospitality, and property, is seeking a meticulous and strategic Manager, Finance to lead its Accounts Payable (AP) function. Based in the vibrant Tiong Bahru area of Singapore's Central Region, you will oversee end-to-end AP operations and manage a shared service team located in Malaysia. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance across the Group's expanding portfolio.
As the Finance Manager, you will drive process improvements, implement best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the AP shared services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, external auditors, and vendors to maintain robust financial controls. Responsibilities
- Oversee the full Accounts Payable cycle, including invoice processing, approval workflows, and payment runs.
- Manage the Malaysia shared service team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Implement and enforce AP policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks in AP operations.
- Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Prepare monthly AP reports, accruals, and analyses for management review.
- Collaborate with Treasury, Procurement, and other departments to streamline processes and support business needs.
- Lead system upgrades and automation projects related to accounts payable (e.g., SAP enhancements).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Proven experience managing a shared service center or offshore team, ideally in a multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and compliance standards.
- Hands-on proficiency with SAP or other major ERP systems; advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Demonstrated track record of process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and manage multiple priorities.
