Talent Trader Group is partnering with a reputable multinational corporation to hire a detail-driven Accountant/Assistant Accountant in the Central Region, Singapore. This full-time role is designed for a professional who can support the finance team in general ledger maintenance, month end close, and financial reporting. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate journal postings, accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, vendor reconciliations, and monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. You will assist with GST filings, statutory reporting, and ensure timely close of books. Responsibilities
- Post and review general ledger entries, manage month end close, and perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable with accuracy and on time, including vendor reconciliations.
- Reconcile bank statements and intercompany accounts; monitor cash flow and liquidity.
- Assist with month end close, accruals, depreciation, fixed assets, and intercompany eliminations.
- Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements and management reports for business leaders.
- Support statutory filings, tax compliance, including GST/VAT, and assist external auditors during audits.
- Maintain internal control frameworks and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Qualifications
- Degree in accounting or finance; professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an MNC or shared services environment.
- Solid knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards or IFRS; familiarity with GST/VAT compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and regional stakeholders.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and maintain high professional ethics.
