As a Tutor, you will empower students to achieve their goals through customized lesson plans, engaging activities, and ongoing progress tracking. This role is ideal for educators, college students, or professionals who are passionate about helping others succeed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging tutoring sessions in-person or online to improve understanding and performance.
- Assess students' strengths and areas for improvement; develop tailored learning plans.
- Track progress with weekly updates and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Prepare practice materials and resources aligned with curriculum standards.
- Support students with study skills, organization, and test-taking strategies.
- Maintain a positive, supportive learning environment and communicate with parents/guardians as needed.
- Collaborate with other tutors and the curriculum team to share best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a relevant field; teaching certification a plus.
- Proven tutoring or classroom teaching experience; subject matter expertise in math, science, languages, or test prep is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; patient, motivating, and adaptable.
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient with online tutoring tools and learning management systems; comfortable with virtual platforms.
- Availability to tutor in the evenings and weekends; reliable internet connection if remote.
- Background check and references required.
