Responsibilities
- Develop and modify patterns for mechanical components based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to create 2D and 3D pattern models.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure patterns are manufacturable and meet tolerance requirements.
- Conduct pattern testing and validation, making adjustments to improve accuracy and reduce material waste.
- Maintain documentation of pattern designs, revisions, and version control in accordance with company standards.
- Provide technical support and training to junior engineers and technicians on pattern-making best practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance pattern development efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pattern making, tooling, or mechanical design.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering schematics.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material properties.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
