As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. You will collaborate closely with the HR and Accounting departments to maintain employee records, process timekeeping data, compute government-mandated contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG), and assist with BIR compliance. Your diligence will directly ensure the satisfaction and trust of our workforce.

Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll for all employees accurately and within established deadlines.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and benefits enrollment.
- Verify timekeeping records, overtime, leaves, and absences, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- Compute and remit government-mandated contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and file necessary reports.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of annual tax forms (BIR 2316, Alphalist) and year-end adjustment computations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, benefits, and tax matters professionally.
- Generate payroll-related reports for management, accounting, and audits.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll and employee compensation data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in payroll processing is highly preferred; fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas) and familiar with payroll software (e.g., Sprout, iPay, QuickBooks).
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Effective communication skills in both English and Filipino.
