Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the end-to-end payroll processing for multiple entities within a shared services model, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of payroll specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Drive process optimization initiatives, identifying areas for automation and efficiency gains using payroll systems and HRIS platforms.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, policies, and statutory requirements, preparing for and supporting internal and external audits.
- Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and IT departments to resolve complex payroll issues, implement system enhancements, and improve cross-functional workflows.
- Prepare comprehensive payroll reports, analyses, and reconciliations for management review, contributing to financial planning and decision-making.
- Manage vendor relationships with external payroll providers, benefit administrators, and government agencies.
- Stay abreast of changes in payroll legislation, taxation, and compliance requirements in relevant jurisdictions, proactively implementing necessary adjustments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in payroll management, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity, preferably within a shared services or global business services environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Philippine labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory contributions (e.g., SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
- Proven experience with major HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, ADP); strong technical aptitude is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
