Cornerstone Global Partners is seeking a results-driven Payroll Team Lead to oversee end-to-end payroll operations. In this pivotal role, you will lead a dedicated team to ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payroll for a diverse client base or internal business units.
As the Payroll Team Lead, you will act as a subject matter expert, streamlining workflows, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring that all statutory obligations are met with precision. Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of payroll specialists to ensure high performance and service delivery standards.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, including data validation, calculation, and final disbursement.
- Ensure full compliance with local labor laws, CPF regulations, and tax filing requirements.
- Act as the primary point of escalation for complex payroll queries and troubleshooting issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to automate manual tasks and enhance payroll system efficiency.
- Conduct regular payroll audits to maintain data integrity and internal control protocols.
- Manage end-of-year tax processing and reporting requirements effectively.
- Maintain strong communication with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless payroll integration.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in payroll administration, with at least 2 years in a team lead or supervisory capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of Singapore labor laws, IR8A, and CPF contribution rules.
- Proficiency in payroll software systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong analytical mindset with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume payroll cycles under tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholder relationships.
- Experience working in a Shared Services or outsourced payroll environment is highly preferred.
