Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, strictly adhering to specifications and local plumbing codes.
- Conduct thorough inspections of plumbing systems to accurately identify and diagnose malfunctions, leaks, blockages, or other issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal functionality, longevity, and to prevent future problems.
- Efficiently troubleshoot and resolve complex plumbing issues in a variety of settings, including residential homes, commercial establishments, and industrial facilities.
- Precisely cut, assemble, and install various types of pipes and tubes (e.g., PVC, copper, PEX) with meticulous attention to detail and stringent safety standards.
- Ensure all plumbing work performed complies with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and established company standards for quality.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients to explain issues, propose solutions, and guarantee a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all work performed, materials utilized, and time spent on each project for reporting and billing purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (e.g., 2+ years) as a Plumber, preferably within a general services, facilities management, or similar environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, sewage, and gas systems.
- Proficiency in using a wide range of plumbing tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices safely and effectively.
- Ability to accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute plumbing plans.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strong diagnostic capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
- Good physical condition and strength, with the ability to perform tasks in various environments (e.g., confined spaces, heights) and lift heavy objects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training, technical certification, or an apprenticeship in plumbing is highly preferred.
