Responsibilities
- Develop and implement organic farming curricula tailored to autistic participants' abilities
- Manage daily farm operations including soil preparation, planting, and harvesting
- Supervise participants during therapeutic farming activities ensuring safety
- Maintain organic certification standards and documentation
- Collaborate with therapists to integrate farming into individual development plans
- Train participants in sustainable agricultural practices
- Monitor participant progress and adjust activities accordingly
- Coordinate with community partners for resource sharing
Qualifications
- Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years in organic farming practices
- Certification in autism care or special education preferred
- Experience working with neurodiverse populations
- Strong knowledge of sustainable agriculture techniques
- Patience and excellent communication skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual needs
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in farm environments
