Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine strategic procurement plans and policies for raw materials, aligning with overall company objectives.
  • Lead the entire purchasing cycle, encompassing vendor identification, selection, rigorous negotiation, contract management, and efficient order fulfillment for both local and international suppliers.
  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to ensure a diversified, resilient, and robust supply chain capable of meeting evolving demands.
  • Monitor global and local market trends, raw material price fluctuations, and supplier performance metrics to mitigate risks and capitalize on cost-saving and quality improvement opportunities.
  • Strategically manage and optimize inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while consistently ensuring the timely availability of critical materials for production.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, finance, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operational flow and alignment across departments.
  • Drive aggressive cost-reduction initiatives and value engineering projects without compromising on material quality, supply reliability, or ethical standards.
  • Ensure stringent compliance with all relevant procurement regulations, company policies, and best practices, maintaining high standards of ethical conduct.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in procurement or purchasing, with at least 2-3 years specifically in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Proven expertise and a strong track record in sourcing, negotiating, and managing relationships with both local and international raw material vendors.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, inventory management, and incoterms.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, forecast demands, and make data-driven strategic decisions.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is highly desirable for local interactions.
