In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our revenue streams, directly impacting our financial reporting and strategic decision-making processes.
As a Revenue Accountant, you will bridge the gap between complex contract terms and accounting standards, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 or IFRS 15. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales Operations, Legal, and Finance, to navigate subscription-based revenue models in a fast-paced technology environment.

Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Analyze customer contracts and service agreements to determine appropriate accounting treatment for revenue.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Legal departments to review deal structures for revenue impact prior to contract execution.
- Prepare and analyze monthly revenue reports and reconciliations for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and work closely with internal/external auditors during review periods.
- Identify opportunities to streamline revenue recognition processes and implement system improvements to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on revenue recognition, preferably in the SaaS or Technology industry.
- Strong working knowledge of revenue recognition standards (ASC 606).
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interface with non-finance teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
