As an RTR / GL Accountant, you will be at the heart of the finance department, overseeing complex accounting processes and providing critical insights that drive business decisions. Responsibilities
- Manage the full spectrum of Record-to-Report (RTR) functions, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.
- Prepare and review journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.
- Perform comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies or variances.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and ensure depreciation is calculated and recorded correctly.
- Liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and regional counterparts to resolve accounting queries and facilitate reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, Group Accounting Policies, and local statutory requirements (MFRS/IFRS).
- Support external and internal audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the finance function.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, MIA) are highly advantageous.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of working experience in General Ledger (GL) or RTR roles, preferably within a Shared Services environment.
- Fluency in spoken and written Mandarin is mandatory to support regional business requirements.
- Proficiency in English is required for internal communication and reporting.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
