Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the full set of accounts, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with MFRS.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports for strategic decision-making.
- Manage cash flow planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support business operations and growth.
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and regulatory authorities on all statutory matters.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of junior accounting staff to ensure high productivity and accuracy.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Handle corporate tax computations, tax planning strategies, and ensure timely submission of SST and withholding tax returns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or MIA are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant working experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior role.
- Strong working knowledge of MFRS, Malaysian tax laws (Income Tax, SST, Transfer Pricing), and the Companies Act 2016.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, Autocount, Sage, or SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Must be willing to work full-time from our office located in Kulai, Johor.
